The heart of the faucet is the ceramic disc cartridge, which controls both the temperature and water flow. Inside, two ceramic carbide discs rotate in opposite directions to regulate the water flow. Because ceramic carbide is resistant to friction, the cartridge can last for many years without needing to be replaced. The body and stem are made of solid brass, with 3/8" x 16PT teeth on the spline count for the handle. The thread size of the cartridge is 1/2-14 NPSM, with a M24 x 1.0 threaded collar and a rubber O ring at the bottom. This cartridge is crafted from high-quality metal and ceramic, making it corrosion-resistant and designed for durability. It is suitable for use on Kingston Brass faucets - please check the model for compatibility. The handle connection is 3/8" x 16 PT, with an overall length of 2-1/2 inches. The cartridge is labeled as Prop 65 and is compliant with low lead regulations.
